“My role was global from the beginning”
Paulina Sánchez, Demand Planner and Market Initiative Leader of Fem Care and Shave Care
My first contact with P&G was at a job fair at my university. The recruiters caught my attention because they were the only ones there who really wanted to prove why and how their company was the best—and they certainly had proof. I was very interested in what they had to say.
I have always wanted to work for a global company where I could learn and grow quickly. I also enjoy that I get to work with people from different countries and cultures. In my very first assignment I worked with people from Brazil and Cincinnati, and today I’m working with my colleagues in Panama and Costa Rica.
As I had never worked before joining P&G, I thought I was going to be given simple projects, but I was pleasantly surprised that it was totally the opposite—my assignments were critical to the business. And I was given almost complete freedom in my assignments and was able to work in the way I thought best. Two years later, here I am still making a meaningful impact: telling plants what they need to produce, making forecasts that Finance uses to create sales projections, and influencing the regional planning group in Costa Rica and the regional marketing leaders in Panama.
There are so many opportunities to learn and develop here. I hope to become a leader so that I can encourage and support others, as well as enable P&G to continue growing and improving the lives of the people across the world through their products.
