“P&G’s people are predictably generous with their time, minds, and ears.”
Leah Nightingale - Category Development Manager
As a Category Development Manager, I work with Loblaws to deliver category growth solutions based on their business needs and the changing retail environment. One of the most meaningful assignments I had early on in my career was to create an entire category strategy for Baby Wipes at Loblaws. It was a true testament to P&G’s confidence in my hiring by allowing me to make recommendations on such a broad scale.
I have had many first days at P&G as a two-time intern and then a full time employee – I keep coming back for more. My first day as an intern was initially intimidating, until I was embraced by the warm office environment. I was met with friendly smiles and other equally ambitious and driven peers. From day 1, I knew this was a culture that fostered innovation, risk taking, and solid working relationships. I was given projects with both breadth and depth that I owned from start to finish, all the way to presenting to buyers at Loblaws.
The level of investment P&G made in my growth and development signaled to me that I would be properly trained and supported throughout my time there. From day 1, I knew P&G was right the right place for me to grow, learn, and develop my career.
P&G’s people are predictably generous with their time, minds, and ears. Our people work best by leveraging each other’s strengths. A countless number of people have made time to help me on their busiest days, because they know I would do the same for them or someone else with my area of strength.
We are innovating at P&G every day. From small improvements to business processes up to the brand and product innovation level. Even though we are a large company, there is innovation happening at every level, and there is always someone there to listen to your ideas and provide feedback.
P&G’s investment in things like team building activities, conferences, celebrations, and networking events really helps to bring such a large and wide-spread team together. P&G makes it possible to build a large and widespread network where you really feel like you belong and can leverage those connections when needed.
