“My experience on my first day at P&G was a defining moment.”
Catalina Smocovich - Category Manager Leader
After joining P&G as an intern, I became responsible for the #4 Retailer in Argentina. It was a challenge, but it was exactly what I wanted and asked for. Now I am building the new CATMAN Team for P&G Argentina, which is also a great opportunity for me.
My experience on my first day at P&G was a defining moment for me. As I was coming back home I thought: “These are very nice people, people that really know how to work as a team and at the same time value each individual as a whole”. I remember coming back home happy and comfortable with the values of the company. First impressions are always key.
Teams are our most valuable asset as a company. I remember a very difficult time when I was just starting my role as AE and I had to get a Baby Care meeting ready on short notice. The person who was a Baby Care Lead at that time (now my boss) stayed with me, guided me, and gave me feedback along the entire process. I didn’t feel alone at any point from beginning to end.
Today, my main goal is to be a great manager, and I think P&G is the best company to learn how to do that. I want be thought of as a great manager by my subordinates; a manager who built a team where everyone was motivated and committed to work together towards established goals. That’s the feeling I remember most about my first boss during my first days at P&G.
