We are currently looking for a passionate and technically savvy individual to join our team as an experienced Controls & Automation Engineer at our combined Family Care & Baby Care plant located in Jackson, MO. The Cape Girardeau campus has production lines for brands such as Bounty, Pampers, and Charmin. This role will have broad responsibilities to set and influence the strategic direction of controls & automation project work at the site. Responsibilities can vary including project management, delivering initiatives and Technical Leadership. You will deliver visible business benefits through engineering solutions, at a project portfolio level. Responsible for the coordination and execution of specific project activities, varying from a portfolio of smaller projects to full ownership of a larger scale project. This role will work on the Baby Care business side (composed of the Pampers and Luvs brands) of the plant within the following projects: Packing equipment automation, capital investment, line conversions, regional production support. Successful candidate will be able to apply technical leadership skills to deliver successful capital projects on schedule and high-quality products which meet their defined success criteria.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Project Management experience including troubleshooting and optimization.
  • Startup Management, Mechatronic systems design, and collaboration with engineering contractors
  • Evaluate equipment and process to reduce costs and improve production rates.
  • Design and test technical scope with vendors on the production site
  • Ensure designs comply with safety and quality standards.
  • Ensure processes comply with cleaning and Good Manufacturing Practice standards.
  • Ensures equipment is appropriately qualified and/or validated for intended use, works with Quality and Technical Groups to develop, and execute protocols.
  • You will lead a team of internal and external resources in the installation and startup of projects.

Qualifications
  • We are looking for someone with a degree in the field of: BS / MS preferably in Electrical Engineering. Previous industry experience in a manufacturing, operations, CPG, or related environment is a nice to have.
  • 3-7+ years of applicable controls & automation, or related, engineering experience
  • Experience managing multiple projects.
  • Strong Leadership skills with the ability to drive & influence projects within cross-functional teams.
  • Strong Written and Verbal communication skills
  • Strong in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with industrial PLC, especially with Rockwell Control Logix platforms
  • Professional background from a manufacturing, operations, or overall industrial environment
  • Experience with computer and industrial networks.
  • Tableau, PowerBI, or other data analytics tools are a plus, not required
  • SAP experience is a nice to have, not required
  • PMP or other certifications are nice to have, not required
  • Experience (or ability to quickly learn) in plant engineering or project management
