The Opportunity

Procter & Gamble is seeking an experienced Application Manager.  In this role, you will be responsible for managing the technical solutions of our executive compensation and employee awards programs.  You will be interacting internally with the Global Executive Compensation and Employee Awards HR team in P&G. Externally, you will be interacting with the strategic vendor supporting our AWS based solutions. You are expected to support the integrations of our solutions with Workday and SAP. As part of your Service Operations role, you will be involved with all technical aspects to support our solutions.

You will support daily hands-on operational excellence for the assigned products, with in-source setup. Execute success and process measures according to SLI, SLO, SLA. Performs changes and upgrades to existing products and ensuring regular maintenance. Work with the Product Team members to plan what user stories will be included in each sprint.

The solutions are based on standard technologies, and the role requires deep hands-on expertise. The Applications Manager must have the ability to assess the business requirements and develop the solution to meet the business need, while working across integration technologies, cloud hosting network and security.  

Position Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical ownership and development of the Executive Compensation and Employee Awards solutions; this includes annual upgrades, configurations and data loads supporting our STAR – Short Term Achievement Award, LTIP – Long Term Incentive Program, and other award programs, including SAP payroll load and E*TRADE equity load.
  • Responsible for managing the design and delivery of new functionality using Agile development, working closely with our HR partners and our strategic vendor.
  • Work into the technical details, leveraging standard technologies to meet business needs.
  • Evaluate business requirements and available integration technologies and propose strategic solution.
  • Be the recognized technical manager for executive compensation and employee award solutions.
  • Lead engagement on technical stewardship and business projects based on aligned deliverables and timelines.
  • Lead development of technical solutions that deliver business objectives based on our platform of technologies.
  • Drive innovation to deliver business value & objectives.

Qualifications

Required:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business/Management Information Systems, Computer/Systems/ Engineering and/or other relevant field.
  • Software development experience in major software development languages / platforms including Python, JavaScript, Github
  • Previous experience working in cloud hosted applications within AWS or other major cloud provider.
  • Interest on improving/learning new business and technical skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience in team collaboration.
  • Availability to work a hybrid work schedule in downtown Cincinnati, OH. This position does not offer relocation assistance.

Pay Range: $85,000 – $115,000

Compensation for roles at P&G varies depending on a wide array of non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, degree/credentials, relevant skill set, and level of relevant experience. At P&G compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
