P&G facilitates your search via TalentBrew, a job matching tool developed by TMP Worldwide. TalentBrew uses the LinkedIn application to extract job relevant information from a user’s LinkedIn profile (name, email, city, experience, education, skills & endorsements, recommendations, accomplishments and interests). P&G processes your data pursuant to its Candidate Privacy Notice.

We use that information to run an automated keyword-based comparison against P&G’s job descriptions and then present our available roles sorted by order of relevancy to your qualifications. The encrypted user data is only cached within our servers for 24 hours to save time for returning users. We do not access, process or store this information except to provide the job matching service

Product Supply Intern, 2019, Singapore

What was your internship like?

It was a really meaningful journey when I got to deliver value through the analysis and execution of a real business challenge. I was also part of a P&G CSR team where we were able to give back to the communities in various ways.

What was your project and how did you feel about it?

The project that I was given was to digitalize various supply chain measures to enable faster decision making for managers and Supply Network Operations (SNO) planners alike. It was really scary because I felt there was high expectation from an intern. But overall, I was still excited to be able to step out of my comfort zone and at the same time pick up new skills in terms of communication or technical mastery.

What support did you receive to accomplish your project?

In terms of the support that I was able to get, I know I felt that I was really comfortable in being able to make mistakes. At the end of the day, I was given ample space to learn from them, and at the same time receive plentiful feedback. P&G is also a place where I felt I could really leverage on the vast resources we had, and that includes being able to communicate and talk to various oversees partners and colleagues seated all around the globe. More importantly, when speaking to these people, I felt that they really wanted me to succeed and they truly believed that I could make a difference.

What was the most memorable moment in your internship?

The most memorable moment in the internship must be the first and the last day because that is where I could kind of make a comparison between what changed and what has not changed. What did not change was the high commitment and trust my managers and colleagues placed in me since Day 1. That includes the highs and the lows of the internship. What changed is, through the time here in P&G, I was able to grow and mature in various ways. That allowed me to step out of my comfort zone, and in some sense, be able to get lifelong friendships and truly enjoy working together.

What was your favorite thing about your internship?

My favorite thing about the internship will be the fact that I was able to translate the work I do into the value gained by the end-consumers – which is every day consumers like us. What I mean by that is when we achieve a certain cost-saving within P&G, that cost saving is translated down the supply chain, through the customers and consumers like us. It was really refreshing and exciting to be able to know that when I step into work and I work hard to deliver excellence, that benefit or that saving actually translates down to our parents, friends, and even people like myself when we shop for P&G products.
