"From the first week into the job you will become a business owner"
I joined straight out of University, it’s a relatively daunting prospect joining a company with very little experience. The culture is so supportive, I’ve been in the company just over a year, moved accounts and learnt so much. We have a great structure in place to ensure everyone gets the help and support they need. Being a build from within company, managers invest in you and your development. I have a great team, with amazing managers.
From the first week into the job you will become a business owner, not just helping run the business, but an actual leadership role. This comes with real budgets, a huge amount of responsibility and the opportunity to work on one of the biggest brands in the world. Many of my friends start on rotations moving through different functions, whilst that’s interesting to understand different aspects of the company, I find it far more beneficial and exciting to start work on your very own business straight away. P&G gives you that opportunity right from the beginning.
Starting a new role is always challenging, whether you are new into the company or moving role after 2 years of experience. Don’t get me wrong it’s very exciting, it just means you have to learn an entirely new category with new products. That being said, moving roles is a great opportunity to learn and further develop. Becoming a category expert, knowing your business inside and out is crucial to our job, moving roles means you have to go through that process again.
