P&G facilitates your search via TalentBrew, a job matching tool developed by TMP Worldwide. TalentBrew uses the LinkedIn application to extract job relevant information from a user’s LinkedIn profile (name, email, city, experience, education, skills & endorsements, recommendations, accomplishments and interests). P&G processes your data pursuant to its Candidate Privacy Notice.

We use that information to run an automated keyword-based comparison against P&G’s job descriptions and then present our available roles sorted by order of relevancy to your qualifications. The encrypted user data is only cached within our servers for 24 hours to save time for returning users. We do not access, process or store this information except to provide the job matching service

"I was pushed to achieve my best"

Starting at P&G was a daunting prospect initially, I was aware of the Day 1 initiative whereby interns drive value from the beginning of their placement, but I was stuck worrying about what ‘smart formal’ dress code actually was let alone how I was going to make an impact somewhere as large as P&G. Aside from being dressed somewhat overly formal, my first day was a mixture of excitement and trainings, my work plan for the year which detailed the projects I would be working was challenging but achievable, leaving me feeling assured in my role and eager to start.

Fast forward a few months and I was leading the roll out of a platform update globally, managing teams located around the globe from China to Latin America, on top of which I was also working on adding analytics capabilities to the contact pages for all global brands. Both projects gave me insight into the scale of P&G but also the impact one person can have, despite being in such a large organization. I had to learn a lot very quickly, the learning curve was steep, however I was given the training and support I needed to enable myself to succeed, this was through formal training provided by the company and coaching from my manager. Working in Global Consumer Relations I worked with the systems P&G use to talk to their consumers and vice versa, meaning the work had direct impacts to the business with tangible changes that could be observed, this helped ground the work I was doing and provide ways to assess its impact. Knowing that changes I made were live on websites across the world gave pride in my work and a desire to improve it continuously.

Reflecting on my internship I was pushed to achieve my best and praised for doing so, hard work and strong results were recognized officially and in passing whilst failures provided opportunities to learn and grow. Skills I gained throughout the year I was able to reapply during my final year at university and now again back at P&G having started as a full-time employee after graduating. I look forward to the challenges to come.
